Dickinson junior Jonathan Chudacoff (Highland Park, Ill./Berkshire School) was named the Centennial Conference Baseball Player of the Week. The junior outfielder led the Red Devils to a pair of wins as they swept a double-header from Oneonta State on Sunday.
Chudacoff launched a three-run bomb in his first at-bat of the season to help lead the Devils to an 11-2 victory in the opener, going 2-for-4 with four RBIs and a run scored. He added two more hits in the nightcap, hitting a two-run homer in the top of ninth to put Dickinson in front, 6-5. They went on to win, 7-5, to start the season at 2-0.
He hit .444 over two games, going 4-for-9 with six RBIs, two runs scored and a pair of homeruns.
Sophomore Ben Woodard (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) was named the Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Week, turning in an outstanding performance in relief in the opener. He came on to record a save in game one, throwing four scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and recording six strikeouts.
