Men’s Track Athlete of the Week - February 20, 2017

Jaryd Flank, Sr, Muhlenberg College
Easton, Pa./Wilson Area

Flank ran the 3000 meters in 8:20.66 - the third-fastest mark in Centennial Conference history - at Haverford's Keogh Invitational. The time is the fifth-best in Division III this season and knocked nearly 11 seconds off of his school record.

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week - February 13, 2017

Jesse Poore, Sr, Johns Hopkins
Wyomissing, Pa./Wilson

 Poore won his heat in the 400 meters and finished 44th in a field of 202 at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational with a time of 49.43. Poore's time is the best in the Centnenial Conference this season and a Johns Hopkins program record. The senior also recorded a conference-leading mark in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.35.


Men’s Track Athlete of the Week - February 6, 2017

Ben Taber, Sr, Gettysburg
Durham, Conn./Coginchaug Regional

Taber won the mile and ran on the 4x800-meter relay team that placed second at the Susquehanna Indoor Challenge. He beat out 39 other runners in the mile with a time (4:26.38) that was less than a second shy of his personal record. He then led off for the 4x8, which posted a time (8:01.87) that ranks third in school history and is Gettysburg's fastest time in the event since 1964.


Men’s Track Co-Athletes of the Week - January 30, 2017

Duncan Hopkins, So, Dickinson
Lancaster, Pa./JP McCaskey

Hopkins clocked the top time in the Centennial Conference this season, running past competition from all divisions to win the 5,000 meters at the Bucknell Bison Open. He crossed the line in 15:02.69, marking the top time by a sophomore and the 10th-best performance in program history.

  

Greg Morgan, So, Haverford
Holidaysburg, Pa./Episcopal

Morgan had a great week competing in the mile at the prestigious Villanova Open and he finished in fourth place overall with a career-best 4:13.16. The time was converted to 4:16.86 for NCAA qualifying purposes, which gives Morgan the eighth best time thus far in Division III. 


Men’s Track Athlete of the Week - January 23, 2017

Jaryd Flank, Sr, Muhlenberg College
Easton, Pa./Wilson Area

 Flank finished first in both events in which he competed at the Collegeville Classic. He won the mile in a personal-best 4:22.62 and anchored the DMR team that won by more than 13 seconds.


Track Athlete of the Week - January 16, 2017

Graham Peet , Soph,  Haverford
Vashon, Wash./The Northwest School

Peet took home the event crown in the 3000m at the Coach I Open at F&M on Saturday with a time of 8:53.33, a new personal collegiate best in the discipline.

Track Athlete of the Week - December 5, 2016

Anthony Ware, Jr, Muhlenberg College
Bowie, Md./Maret School (D.C.)

Ware broke his own school record in winning the 60 meters at the Lehigh Season Opener. His time of 6.92 seconds lowered the mark of 6.96 he set in March and was good for a first-place finish ahead of two runners from Division I Penn. Only 14 Division III runners posted a faster time than 6.92 all last year.
