Men’s Track Athlete of the Week - May 1, 2017

Nathan Wojick, Sr, Gettysburg
Milford, N.J./Delaware Valley Regional

Wojick won the 800-meter run with a stunning performance at the Shippensburg Paul Kaiser Classic. Taking on a strong field of 56 that featured Division II competition, he took the lead coming off the final turn before finishing in 1:52.24, a time that currently leads the Centennial Conference and ranks 15th in Division III. Wojick's time also moved him to fourth all-time at Gettysburg.

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week – April 24, 2017

Anthony Calantoni, Jr, Muhlenberg College
Wilson, Pa./Wilson Area

Calantoni finished fourth in the 800 in a large field of 129 runners at the Widener Invitational. His personal-best time of 1:52.85 is the best in the Centennial Conference this season and the 19th-best in Division III. The only three athletes to come in ahead of him were one from Division II and two from the NAIA.

 

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week – April 17, 2017

Jaryd Flank, Sr, Muhlenberg College
Easton, Pa./Wilson Area

Flank ran the fastest Division III time in the steeplechase this season at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic, crossing the finish line in 9:10.53. 

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week - April 10, 2017

PJ Murray, Fr, Johns Hopkins
Devon, Pa.

PJ Murray finished seventh in the field of 52 at the Mason Spring Invitational in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 14:55.98. Murray’s time ranks 30th among Division III athletes this season and is just 3.99 seconds off of the Hopkins freshman record. Murray is the first Blue Jay to post a sub-15:00 time in the 5,000 meters this outdoor season.

 

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week - April 3, 2017

Mason Hepner, Sr, Dickinson
Mount Joy, Pa./Manheim Central

Hepner had another outstanding meet, winning two events at the Muhlenberg Invitational on Saturday. Hepner crossed the line first in the 800 meters with a conference season-best time of 1:54.69 and won the 1500 in 3:55.95 to rank second in the CC this season.

 

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week - March 27, 2017

Mason Hepner, Sr, Dickinson
Mount Joy, Pa./Manheim Central

Hepner had a huge day, leading the Red Devils to the Little Three Championship with four wins on Saturday. He ran to wins in the 800 (1:56.56) and 1500 meters (3:59.20), posting the top times in the conference this season. He also anchored the winning 4x400 and 4x800 relays with top times as well.
