Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week – April 24, 2017

Haylee Solomon, Sr, GK, Washington College
Wantagh, N.Y./Sanford H. Calhoun

Made 31 saves and had a .608 save percentage in a pair of games this week for the Shorewomen. Stopped a career-best 18 shots against #9 Franklin & Marshall on Saturday, including nine in each half. She also had four ground balls to tie for her season high and a caused turnover. In the team's 10-9 overtime win over Haverford, the senior made 13 saves and allowed just one goal over the final 16:25 of the game as the Shorewomen rallied from an 8-4 deficit to post the comeback win.

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week – April 17, 2017

Shannon Keeler, Sr, GK, Gettysburg
Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown

Keeler posted 10 saves, four ground balls, and one caused turnover in a 16-5 victory over Haverford. She posted six of her stops in the second half as Gettysburg blew open a close game by out-scoring the Fords 11-3. Keeler finished the week with a 5.00 GAA and .667 save percentage. 

 

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week - April 10, 2017

Ali Gorab, Jr, D, Gettysburg
Southport, Conn.,/Ludlowe

Gorab played a pivotal role for the defensive unit in a pair of wins last week. The junior defender helped Gettysburg take down top-ranked Franklin & Marshall 12-6 by recording four ground balls, one draw control, and one caused turnover. She added two ground balls as the Bullets blanked Swarthmore 18-0. 

 

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week - April 3, 2017

Sara Allison, Sr, GK, Muhlenberg
Mountain Lakes, N.J./Mountain Lakes

Allison compiled a 6.50 goal-against average and .581 save percentage in a pair of Muhlenberg wins, including an 8-7 upset of top-ranked Gettysburg. She made 10 saves, including five on free-position shots, in a 20-6 win against Drew and stopped eight shots against the Bullets.

 

  

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week - March 27, 2017

Danielle Harrington, Jr, GK, Franklin & Marshall
Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge

Harrington picked up two wins in the net this week. She had eight saves in a 13-5 win over Swarthmore on Saturday and stopped 10 shots as F&M took down No. 10 Salisbury on Sunday.


Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week - March 20, 2017

Tara Cuddihy, Sr, GK, Dickinson
Basking Ridge, N.J. / Ridge HS

Cuddihy was outstanding in goal in a 1-1 week vs. nationally-ranked opponents for the Red Devils. She made seven saves in a 12-7 loss to #2 Trinity and turned away 16 of 23 attempts in a 9-7 victory against #17 Ithaca. For the week, Cudahy posted a 54.8 save percentage and a 9.50 GAA.


Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week - March 13, 2017

Danielle Harrington, Jr, GK, Franklin & Marshall
Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge

Danielle Harrington stood tall in goal, turning away eight shots in a 12-2 victory over No. 2 Cortland on Saturday. She added two caused turnovers and three ground balls as F&M held Cortland to the fewest goals in recent memory. 

 


Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week - March 6, 2017

Cassie Smith, Jr, D, Gettysburg
Phoenix, Md. / St. Paul's School for Girls

Smith keyed fourth-ranked Gettysburg's dominating defensive effort against No. 19 St. Mary's. The junior defender tallied four caused turnovers, three draw controls, and two ground balls in a 16-1 victory. The Bullets allowed only six shots in the game and held the Seahawks scoreless for over 40 minutes.

 

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week - February 27, 2017

Shannon Keeler, Sr, GK, Gettysburg
Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown

Keeler managed a 5.23 GAA and saved 65.2 percent of the shots she faced in a 2-0 week. The junior keeper managed a dozen saves to help No. 6 Gettysburg get by No. 17 Messiah 7-6 in overtime on Feb. 22. She allowed just two goals while making three stops in the first half of the Bullets' 16-6 win over Stevenson on Feb. 25.
