The Centennial Conference baseball tournament is headed to Baltimore for the 14th time as the Blue Jays secured the top seed with a 16-2 record in conference play. JHU split its regular season finale twinbill with Franklin & Marshall, but had already secured the top seed entering Saturday's action.
Dickinson and McDaniel both finished with identical 13-5 CC records, with the Red Devils earning the No. 2 seed via a tiebreaker over the Green Terror. The two sides will meet in Thursday's first round in Carlisle in the 2-3 matchup. Dickinson swept Swarthmore on Saturday while McDaniel swept Ursinus to close out the regular season. This will mark McDaniel's first CC postseason berth since 2016.
F&M entered the day either needing one win vs. JHU or a Swarthmore loss to qualify for the Centennial postseason, and received both to earn its 15th CC playoff berth. Haverford, which split its doubleheader vs. Gettysburg on Saturday, will also be competing in its 15th CC playoffs. The Diplomats (19-19, 11-7 CC) will host the Fords (21-14, 11-7 CC) in Tuesday's opening round. The winner that matchup will enter into the double-elimination portion of the tournament, while the loser will be eliminated.
Hopkins will host the 4/5 winner on Thursday. Following Thursday's games, the action will shift to Baltimore for the remainder of the tournament on Saturday and Sunday.
