Centennial Announces Staff Promotions

LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Centennial Conference has announced the promotions of two staff members. Tim Mowrer has been promoted to Associate Executive Director and Amber Thomas has been promoted to Assistant Executive Director.

Mowrer has been a part of the CC staff since November 2018. He is involved in all aspects of conference operations including communications, scheduling, compliance, administration, championships, and working with various committees throughout the conference.

Thomas joined the Centennial office in August of 2020. She manages a wide variety of tasks for the conference, including serving as the conference's Athletics Diversity & Inclusion Designee (ADID), and overseeing the implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, initiatives, and policies. She also leads the coordination of the annual Snell-Shillingford Symposium, a women's leadership symposium that is one of the marquee events in the conference.

"We are pleased to recognize Tim and Amber's exceptional work in the Centennial Conference," said CC Executive Director Portia Hoeg. "Thanks to the NCAA strategic alliance matching grant we received a few years ago, we have been able to expand our staff and elevate our workloads. These promotions are well deserved and we look forward to continuing to push the Centennial forward as a top-tier Division III conference for academic and athletic excellence."
