All-CC Football: F&M's Lewis & JHU's Bourdo Named Players of the Year

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall's Gary Lewis and Johns Hopkins' Carson Bourdo received Player of Year accolades while Muhlenberg's Caleb Pasols and the Franklin & Marshall coaching staff also collected top honors on the 2025 All-Centennial Conference Football Team.

Lewis, a senior wide receiver for the Diplomats, was named Offensive Player of the Year after catching a CC-best 16 touchdowns along with 56 receptions (2nd in CC) and 981 receiving yards (2nd in CC). Lewis' 16 receiving touchdowns ranks fourth on the all-time single-season list in conference history and is tied for fifth in the nation entering the NCAA Tournament. He has caught at least one touchdown in all but one game this season and posted a trio of 100-yard games, highlighted by a 221-yard, four-touchdown outing against Catholic on September 20. Lewis is the eighth wide receiver in conference history to claim player of the year honors. He is the fifth Diplomat offensive player to receive player of the year and the first since quarterback Beau Eckert won the second of his back-to-back honors in 1996.

Bourdo, a senior defensive back for the Blue Jays, was selected as Defensive Player of the Year. Bourdo is one of the leaders of the JHU defense that has limited opponents to a conference-leading 18.3 points and 293.9 yards per game this season. Bourdo has recorded two interceptions, five pass breakups, 38 tackles, three tackles for a loss and one sack on the year. He is the 11th different Hopkins player to nab Defensive Player of the Year laurels.

Pasols, a freshman wide receiver for the Mules, was tabbed as Rookie of the Year. He is the fourth wide receiver and third Muhlenberg player to earn the CC's top newcomer honor. Pasols has posted 33 receptions (14th in CC), 555 receiving yards (9th in CC) and caught five touchdowns (t-7th in CC) thus far in his rookie campaign.

The F&M coaching staff was named Coaching Staff of the Year in a vote among its peers. First-year head coach Michael Phelan and assistant coaches Matt Quattrone, Mike Furlong, Sean Moore, Zach Handy, Owen Walsh, Chilamo Taylor, Andy Loucks, Mitch Wagner and Frank Fuller have guided the Diplomats to a 9-1 overall record, a perfect 7-0 mark in CC play, the program's eighth CC title and their first-ever trip to the NCAA postseason.

Twenty-one players received All-Centennial awards for at least the second time in their careers, including two four-time honorees and eight three-time honorees. The JHU offensive line tandem of Michael Nwosu and Garrett Brophy led the way as four-time all-stars. Nwosu nabbed first team accolades for the third year in a row after also being named to the second team as a freshman back in 2022. Brophy was a first team selection for the second time in his career while also collecting two second team awards.

Johns Hopkins has the most first-team All-CC selections in conference history with 218, followed by Muhlenberg with 187. Franklin & Marshall is third with 160, followed by Dickinson (131), Ursinus (110), McDaniel (90), Gettysburg (80), and Carnegie Mellon (5).
