NCAA Release
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Three teams and five individuals from the Centennial Conference have qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships, set for this Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Roger Milliken Cross Country course at the Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg, S.C. The men’s race will begin at 10 a.m. Eastern, followed by the women’s race at 11 a.m. Eastern.
In order to be eligible to participate in the championships, teams and individuals had to qualify in their respective NCAA regional competitions held this weekend.
Thirty-two teams were selected to participate in each championship. Seventy individuals, the first seven student-athletes from each region who are not a part of a qualifying team, were selected to participate in each championship.
The Centennial men will feature the Johns Hopkins men's team and five qualifying individuals. Hopkins captured the automatic team bid by virtue of winning the Mid-Atlantic Regional last weekend. This marks the ninth straight year and 13th time in the past 14 seasons that Hopkins will compete at nationals. Individually qualifying from the CC on the men's side were Dickinson's Nathan Caldwell and Luke Knestout, Haverford's Micah Lachman and Simon Lane, and Swarthmore's Cohen Manges. This will be the third straight NCAA championship appearance for Manges.
JHU's Emmanuel Leblond enters the national meet as one of just two runners in conference history, along with former Haverford standout Karl Paranya (1994-95-96), to have earned All-America honors three times. With another top-40 performance on Saturday, Leblond would stand alone as the only four-time All-American in CC history.
On the women's side, Johns Hopkins and Swarthmore secured automatic bids after winning the Mid-Atlantic Regional and Metro Regional crowns, respectively. The Blue Jays secured the regional title for the 17th straight season, while the Garnet won the regional title for the first time in program history. The Blue Jays are making their 18th consecutive appearance as a team at nationals.
A live webstream of the championships will occur on www.NCAA.com beginning at 10 a.m. Eastern until the conclusion of the awards ceremony.
