All-CC Men's Basketball: F&M's Nowoswiat Named Player of the Year

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall's Kevin Nowoswiat, Gettysburg's Jordan Stafford, Swarthmore's Zander Jimenez and the F&M coaching staff earned major honors to headlien the 2025 All-Centennial Conference Men's Basketball Team.

Nowoswiat, a junior guard for the CC-champion Diplomats, was named Player of the Year. He becomes the eighth different F&M player to receive the award and it marks the 11th time a Diplomat has received the conference's top honor, both tops in conference history. A first-time all-star, Nowoswiat averaged 19.0 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.6 three-pointers per game while shooting 50.8% from the floor and 73.8% from the free throw line. He leads the CC in rebounds per game, ranks second in points per game, fourth in field goal percentage and sixth in assists per game.

Stafford, a senior guard for the Bullets, earned Defensive Player of the Year honors after collecting Player of the Year last season. He is the first CC player in the seven-year existence of the Defensive Player of the Year award to win both major awards in a career. Stafford does a little bit of everything for the Bullets, averaging 16.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.7 blocks per game while shooting 56.7% from the floor and typically taking on the role of defensive stopper for the Bullets against the top scoring guard of each opponent. His field goal percentage leads the conference and his 16.1 points per game is sixth. Stafford was also named to the All-Centennial first team for the second straight season.

Jimenez, a freshman guard for the Garnet, secured Rookie of the Year honors after establishing himself as one of the top players in the Centennial as just a first-year player. He becomes the second Swarthmore player to win the award, joining former Swarthmore standout Vinny DeAngelo, who received the honor in 2020. Jimenez posted averages of 15.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.8 steals per game for the Garnet. He ranks among the top-10 in the conference in steals (4th), points (7th) and rebounds (10th). Jimenez was also honored on the All-Centennial second team as the lone freshman to receive all-star laurels.

The Franklin & Marshall coaching staff was chosen by its peers at the Coaching Staff of the Year for the second year in a row. F&M head coach Nick Nichay and assistants Matt Walsh, AJ Bajana and Nick Monroe guided the Diplomats to a 21-6 overall record, an 11-2 mark in conference play, the top seed in the CC tournament and the program's first conference title since 2016.

Ursinus senior guard Trevor Wall was named to the first team for the second straight season and becomes a four-time all-star. Stafford and fellow senior Gettysburg guard Carl Schaller earned all-conference recognition for the third time in their careers, as did Muhlenberg senior guard Giovanni Rubino

Franklin & Marshall (32) has the most first-team selections in the history of the conference, followed by Ursinus (24), Johns Hopkins (21), Gettysburg (19), Muhlenberg (19), Swarthmore (13), Dickinson (11), Washington College (7), Haverford (6), and McDaniel (5).
