Bullets Tabbed to Repeat in Centennial Softball Poll

LANCASTER, Pa. – Defending champion Gettysburg has been selected as the favorite to repeat in the 2025 Centennial Conference softball preseason poll. The Bullets collected all eight possible first-place votes and tallied 64 points in a vote among conference head coaches.

Swarthmore, which captured the CC title in 2023, secured the other first-place vote and 53 points to edge Muhlenberg (50 points) for second place in the voting. Washington College (43) and Ursinus (31) were also projected as playoff teams in fourth and fifth place, respectively.

Dickinson (30) finished sixth in the poll followed by McDaniel (21), Franklin & Marshall (19), and Haverford (13).

2025 Schedule | 2025 Championship2024 All-Centennial Team

Gettysburg captured its sixth Centennial Conference softball championship last spring with an unblemished run through the double-eliminating conference tournament. The Bullets downed Swarthmore in their opener and defeated Muhlenberg twice en route to their first title since 2021.

The Bullets went on to represent the CC in the NCAA Tournament, falling to Lebanon Valley and Eastern Connecticut State in their opening two games of the regional. Gettysburg ended the year with a 28-13 record.

Centennial softball has witnessed three different team champions in the past three years. Seven of the nine CC teams have claimed titles over the past decade, showcasing the parity the conference has from year to year. All nine teams own at least one conference championship, with McDaniel still leading the pack with seven. Gettysburg and Muhlenberg are tied for second-most with six apiece, while Ursinus has five.

Five All-Region and an astounding 35 All-Centennial performers are back on the diamond this spring. Swarthmore designated player/utility Olivia McClammy leads the way as a three-time All-Region and All-Centennial pick, while Gettysburg pitcher Paige Forry is a two-time All-Region honoree and the two-time reigning CC Pitcher of the Year. Other players with career regional honors back this year include Gettysburg designated player Audrey Bergan, Muhlenberg outfielder Gillian Zack and Swarthmore utility/pitcher Emily Bertrand

All nine CC squads welcome back at least two all-conference honores to their rosters this spring, led by Dickinson with six. Swarthmore and Washington College return five all-stars apiece, while Gettysburg, Muhlenberg and Ursinus each bring back four.
