Johns Hopkins and Swarthmore secured the top two seeds and first round byes in next week's Centennial Conference women's soccer tournament as the regular season wrapped up on Saturday.
The Blue Jays (13-1-2, 9-1 CC) bested Ursinus 4-1 to edge Swarthmore for the No. 1 seed by just one point in the regular season standings. The Garnet (12-1-3, 8-0-2 CC) will be the No. 2 seed following a 2-1 win over Haverford on Saturday. The Blue Jays and the Garnet will host next Friday's semifinals.
Dickinson (12-2-4, 7-1-2 CC) and McDaniel (9-3-5, 5-2-3 CC) were both locked into the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds heading into Saturday's action. McDaniel was idle, while Dickinson defeated Muhlenberg 2-0. The Red Devils and Green Terror will host Tuesday's first round matchups. Dickinson hosts No. 6 Gettysburg (8-6-3, 4-4-2 CC) while McDaniel hosts No. 5 Franklin & Marshall (8-4-3, 5-3-2 CC).
F&M and Gettysburg both clinched playoff spots with wins on Saturday. The Diplomats downed Bryn Mawr 1-0 while the Bullets edged Washington College 1-0. The Bullets needed a win and an Ursinus loss to jump the Bears in the standings on the final day of the regular season.
