2026 All-CC Women's Basketball: McDaniel's Beckett Earns Player of the Year Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. -- McDaniel's Elaina Beckett, Ursinus' Ava Possenti, Johns Hopkins' Jocelyn Goldstein and the JHU coaching staff collected top honors to highlight the 2026 All-Centennial Women's Basketball Team.

Beckett, a senior guard/forward for the Green Terror, was named Player of the Year. Beckett is the third McDaniel player and first since 2016 to receive the conference's top award. Now a four-time all-star after landing on the All-CC second team each of her first three seasons, Beckett was an all-around force for the Green Terror with averages of 19.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.7 steals, 1.3 blocks and 1.7 three-pointers per game while shooting 49.6% from the field, 34.2% from three-point range and 78.4% from the charity stripe. She ranked at or near the top of the Centennial in almost every statistical category, leading the conference in points per game, ranking second in steals per game and three-point percentage, fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.6), sixth in blocks per game and free throw percentage, seventh in assists per game and 11th in rebounds per game. Beckett led the Green Terror to a 20-7 overall record and their first playoff win since 2016.

Possenti, a senior guard for the Bears, was tabbed as Defensive Player of the Year and also landed on the All-CC second team, earning all-conference laurels for the first time in her career. Possenti set a new Centennial single-season steals record with 130 total steals, double the next-highest player in the league. Both her 130 total steals and 4.8 per game average set new conference records, breaking the previous records of 123 (Swarthmore's Katie Robinson, 2002) and 4.4 (JHU's Ashley Felix, 2004). Her 4.8 steals per game ranks third in the nation this year. Possenti also averaged 12.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists for the CC semifinalist Bears. She is the second Ursinus player to receive the award in its eight-year history, joining Aliyah Stephens (2020).

Goldstein, a freshman center for the Blue Jays, was selected as Rookie of the Year and also named to the honorable mention squad. She made an immediate impact for Hopkins, starting all 21 games that she's played with averages of 9.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks while shooting 55.9% from the floor. Golstein is the first Blue Jay to win top newcomer honors in the 13-year history of the award.

The Johns Hopkins coaching staff was selected by its peers as Coaching Staff of the Year. Head coach Rodney Rogan and assistants Brooke Swift and Jordan Atkins led the Blue Jays to a perfect 24-0 overall regular season record that included a 14-0 mark in conference play. That marked just the third time in CC history that team ran the table unbeaten in conference play, and the first CC team ever to complete a perfect regular season.

Johns Hopkins leads the conference with 30 first-team All-Centennial honorees since 1994, followed by Gettysburg (25) and Muhlenberg (23). Swarthmore (16), Franklin & Marshall (14), McDaniel (14), Dickinson (13), Ursinus (13), Haverford (9) and Washington College (3) round out the team-by-team list.
