LANCASTER, Pa. -- Ursinus' Tyler Reilly, Nick Galbraith, Brody Myers and Carl Blickle swept the major awards to lead the 2022 All-Centennial Men's Outdoor Track & Field team.
The Bears won their first-ever Centennial outdoor championship and were rewarded for their efforts with all four major awards and a conference-leading eight individuals who earned first team accolades.
Reilly was named Outstanding Track Performer of the meet with individual wins the 200 and 400 meters and contributing to the winning 4x100 and 4x400 relays, including a conference and championship-meet record performance in the 4x100. Reilly is the second Ursinus runner to secured Outstanding Track Performer of the meet accolades, joining Brandon Evans in that elite club. Evans received the honor in both 2005 and 2006.
Galbraith was tabbed as Oustanding Field Performer after claiming first in both the shot put and hammer, taking third in the javelin and eighth in the discus. He scored 27 individual points to help the Bears to the team title. Galbraith is the second straight Ursinus thrower to win Outstanding Field Performer honors, along with former teammate Griffin McMann, who took home the award last spring.
Myers, a freshman pole vaulter, claimed gold at the championship with a vault of 4.61 meters. Myers becomes the second Ursinus athlete to claim top rookie honors (Sam Pope, 2016).
Blickle was selected by his peers as Coach of the Year. It is the first COTY honor in men's outdoor track & field for Blickle.
