The Centennial Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be hosting green-out games from October 9 to October 15, 2023, as part of a conference-wide initiative to raise mental health awareness. The event will be in partnership with conference chapters of The Hidden Opponent, an accredited non-profit and advocacy group that raises awareness for student-athletes mental health and addresses the stigma within sports culture.
There will be tables at the games with materials intended to help educate people on mental health and the stigma that surrounds it. Fans are encouraged to wear green to conference games to show their support of the initiative. Green is the color of mental health, representing hope, strength, support, and encouragement.
