All-CC Women's Basketball: Arnolie Earns Player of the Year Honors

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Gettysburg's Alayna Arnolie, Dickinson's Clair Marion, McDaniel's Teya McConnaha and the Washington College coaching staff were awarded with top honors to headline the 2024 All-Centennial Women's Basketball Team.

A year after being named Rookie of the Year, Arnolie nabbed Player of the Year honors as a sophomore. Arnolie is the second straight Bullet to win POTY honors, joining teammate Mackenzie Szlosek, and the fifth overall Gettysburg player to receive the accolade as the conference's top player. The guard showcased her all-around talents this winter, averaging 15.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game while leading the Bullets to a 24-3 overall record and their third-straight CC title. Arnolie earns All-CC accolades for the second straight season after being a second-teamer and Rookie of the Year last winter.

Marion, a junior guard/forward for the Red Devils, was tabbed as the Defensive Player of the Year while also garnering first team laurels for the second year in a row. Marion and the Red Devils held their opponents to 50.1 points per game this season, which ranked second among CC squads. She led the conference in steals (3.2 per game) by a wide margin, with the next-closest player swiping 2.5 steals per contest. Marion is the first Dickinson player to win Defensive POTY in the six-year history of the award.

McConnaha, a freshman forward for the Green Terror, secured Rookie of the Year honors. The Telford, Pa. native averaged 10.5 points and 6.8 rebounds while also posting 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. She is the first McDaniel player to win the award in its 11-year history.

Washington College was picked as the Coaching Staff of the Year. Head coach Alisha Mosley and assistants Corey DeShields and Jillyn Coleman led the Shorewomen to a 14-12 overall record, an 11-9 mark in CC play and their third straight playoff appearance. This is the first-ever women's basketball coaching honor for Washington College.

Johns Hopkins leads the conference with 27 first-team All-Centennial honorees since 1994, followed by Gettysburg (23) and Muhlenberg (23). Swarthmore (16), Franklin & Marshall (13), McDaniel (13), Dickinson (12), Ursinus (12), Haverford (9) and Washington College (2) round out the team-by-team list.
