Last spring was one of the most impressive years of women's outdoor track & field in Centennial history, with three individual national champions, five broken conference records and six shattered championship records. At the CC championship, Hopkins added to its conference-record streak with its 13th consecutive team crown. The Blue Jays totaled 276 points, the third most team points in CC outdoor history, to run away with title.

At the NCAA meet, JHU's Victoria Kadiri repeated as national champion in the long jump and triple jump while Swarthmore's Adria Retter took home gold in the discus to highlight Centennial performances. Those account for three of the eight individual national titles in the Centennial's 31-year history. A total of six CC athletes captured All-America honors at nationals with top-eight finishes, led by Kadiri and Retter.  In the team standings, Hopkins placed eighth with 26 points while Swarthmore (T-21st, 10 pts), Gettysburg (T-55th, 4 pts) and Ursinus (T-60th, 3 pts) also earned team points.

Retter has graduated, but Kadiri, JHU's Lauren Phillips and Gettysburg's Holly Ferrara are returning All-Americans to the CC this spring. Phillips placed fourth in the 400 meters while Ferrara earned her second straight All-America honor in the javelin with a fifth-place finish.

Kadiri and Phillips swept all of the major conference honors last spring, earning Most Outstanding Performer laurels at the Centennial championship meet before being named the Athletes of the Year the following week based on performances from the entire regular season and conference championship. In addition to their honors on the national stage, the standout Hopkins duo combined for three conference records, four championship meet records, six individual golds at the CC championship meet, and several marks that ranked at or near the top of the Division III performance list.

Kadiri enters her final spring campaign with four individual titles at the NCAA Outdoor Championships along with four at the NCAA Indoor Championships. Her eight individual national championships are the most by any woman in Centennial or Johns Hopkins history.
