Blue Jays Billed as Women's Outdoor Track & Field Favorite

LANCASTER, Pa. – Fourteen-time defending champion Johns Hopkins has been selected as the favorite to continue its winning streak in the 2025 Centennial Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Preseason Poll. Last spring marked the third straight season in which Centennial women's outdoor track & field student-athletes brought home multiple gold medals at the NCAA championship. That feat is impressive enough in its own right, but even more so when considering that prior to the past three seasons the conference had secured just three total individual golds across nearly 30 years of existence.

Ursinus' Rainah Dunham leads the list of CC returners as the reigning national champion in the long jump and national runner-up in the triple jump. Dunham finished behind only Johns Hopkins' Victoria Kadiri in the triple jump, giving the CC a 1-2 finish on the national podium in that event. Kadiri compiled a CC-record five individual outdoor titles throughout her illustrious career at Hopkins, owning half of the NCAA golds in CC outdoor history.

At the 2024 CC championship, Hopkins claimed nine gold medals and totaled a record 281.5 points to secure its 14th consecutive outdoor crown. Dickinson's Darya Mikusova and Dunham were named the Most Outstanding Performers of the CC meet after both capturing multiple titles throughout the three-day event.

A number of talented and accomplished competitors have graduated or departed the conference, but another group of talented returners return to competition in the CC this spring, including a total of 27 All-Region performers back in the fold.
