Ursinus claims third consecutive men's outdoor track & field crown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- Ursinus won its third consecutive Centennial Conference Men's Outdoor Track & Field championship on Sunday at Muhlenberg. The Bears compiled 214 points throughout the three-day event to defeat second-place Johns Hopkins (196.5) by 17.5 points. 

Host Muhlenberg finished in third place with 117.5 points, followed by McDaniel (83) and Haverford (78) in the top five.

Five championship meet records and one overall Centennial record were re-set during the event. Muhlenberg's John Reichenbach and Dickinson's Trevor Richwine were named the Most Outstanding Performers of the meet. Reichenbach won both the high jump and long jump, including a championship record leap of 2.07 meters in the high jump. Richwine captured individuals golds in the 400 and 800 meters.

Other championship records were set by Dickinson's Ethan Hart in the shot put, who broke his own mark from 2023 with a toss of 16.88m, JHU's Matt Kelly in the 10,000m (30:26.11), and the Muhlenberg 4x100 relay of Isaac Schaffer-Neitz, Bryce Rhodeman, Chris Short and Joshua Castro (41.90). Muhlenberg's Dylan DeMagistris set both conference and championship records in the hammer throw at 56.75m. 

Ursinus' Aiden Tobin and Haverford's Reza Eshghi were both double winners. Tobin won both sprint events (100m & 200m) while Eshghi notched gold in the 1500m and 5,000m runs. 

Additional gold medalists for team-champion Ursinus included Tobin in the 200 (21.65) and Daniel Tabor in the 400 (48.37).
