2025 United Soccer Coaches All-America Team
For the second straight year, a Johns Hopkins women's soccer player has made history by becoming a four-time All-America. This time it was senior defender
Annie Isphording, following in the footsteps of former teammate
Katie Sullivan, a standout forward for the Blue Jays from 2021-24. JHU's
Megha Salvi, Dickinson's
Lila Brown and Swarthmore's
Ava Gizzie were also honored as All-Americans. Isphording was a first team pick while Salvi, Brown and Gizzie landed on the second team.
Last fall Sullivan became the first player in conference and Johns Hopkins history to be named to an All-America four times, with Isphording joining that exclusive club this fall. Isphording was named to the first team for the second time in her career. She was also a first team pick as a freshman in 2022 before collecting second team accolades in 2023 and 2024. Isphording finished her career having played in 93 games with 92 starts to her credit. She anchored a Blue Jay defense that posted 55 shutouts over the last four years and Johns Hopkins allowed just 57 goals in the 93 games she played.
Salvi colleced All-America recognition for the first time. Salvi totaled three goals and four assists for 10 points this season and ends her career with 15 goals and 21 assists for 51 points to her credit. She ranks seventh in school history in career assists and played in 93 games with 72 starts over the last four years.
Brown is the first player in Dickinson history to be named to the All-America team by a national coaches organization. Former Red Devil Carli Boyer was honored by D3soccer.com in 2019. A native of Washington, D.C., Brown started in all 21 matches for the Devils, tallying five goals and chipping in three helpers on 32 shots (16 on target). On the defensive side of the ball she was a major contributor in a Devils' defense that only allowed 16 goals on the campaign and became the first member of the Red and White to claim the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year award. Offensively she was also a big threat posting a goal and assist in the regular season finale at Muhlenberg, before scoring twice in the Centennial Conference Tournament first round victory over Washington (Md.) at home.
Gizzie is the third individual in Swarthmore program history to earn All-America honors, joining Caroline Khanna (2015) and Marin McCoy (2015, 2017, 2018). The junior garnered the accolade for the first time after picking up their third consecutive All-Region First Team nod earlier this week. Gizzie recorded a career-high 11 goals and totaled 24 points this season. The New Canaan, Connecticut native was one of the top offensive threats in Division III, ranking 15
th with 5.10 shots per game. They had a streak of nine consecutive games with a goal this year, tying the program record. Gizzie was the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Year and a member of the All-Centennial First Team.
