2025 CSC Academic All-America Team

A trio of Centennial Conference seniors have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Soccer Acacemic All-America Team. Dickinson's Lila Brown was named to the second team while Johns Hopkins' Ella Macko and Annie Isphording collected third team laurels. 

Brown, an Environmental Science major from Washington, D.C., dominated in the classroom posting a 4.00 GPA, while on the pitch she earned her first All-American award after claiming her second straight All-Region selection. Brown started in all 21 matches for the Red Devils tallying five goals on 32 shots (16 on target), while collecting three helpers as well. On the defensive side of the ball she was a major contributor in a stingy Dickinson defense that surrendered just 16 goals during the season which helped her become the first member of the Red and White to claim the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year award. Offensively she was also a big threat posting a goal and assist in the regular season finale at Muhlenberg, before scoring twice in the Centennial Conference Tournament first round victory over Washington (Md.) at home.

Macko and Isphording, who were both third team selections, become the 22nd and 23rd players in program history to earn Academic All-America honors; Johns Hopkins ranks among the top 10 women's soccer programs all-time – in all divisions - with its 23 selections.
 
Macko, who is a repeat selection after grabbing second team honors in 2024 and just the fifth two-time Academic All-American in program history, is majoring in molecular and cellular biology and has a perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point average.  She is a certified Emergency Medical Technician and has been a Lead Volunteer at Share Baby in Baltimore, which provides needed items to underprivileged children in the city.  In addition, Macko has served as a tutor with the Next One Up program in Baltimore and is an undergraduate research assistant at the Krieger Brain and Mind Institute.
 
On the field, Macko is a three-time Honorable Mention All-Centennial Conference selection and played in 85 games with 66 starts in her career. This season, she started all 22 games that she played in and notched a career-high three goals and one assist while helping lead a Blue Jay defense that totaled 13 shutouts on the year while allowing just 15 goals in 23 games.
 
Isphording carries a 3.96 cumulative grade point average and is double-majoring in public health and natural sciences.  One of the most decorated players in program history, Isphording earned All-America, All-Region and All-Centennial Conference honors four times during her career.  She is one of just two Johns Hopkins players – and the only defender – to earn All-America honors four times.  She played in 93 games with 92 starts in her career and was the anchor of a Johns Hopkins defense that logged 55 shutouts over the last four years.
 
Off the field, Isphording is a Board member of Blue Jays for Baltimore (student-athlete-run community service program that serves the Baltimore community), has worked as a Research Assistant at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Epilepsy Center and at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital and also spent time as a Medical/Practice Assistant at Madison Medical Associates.  She also spent the 2025 spring semester as a Guest Ambassador at nearby Union Memorial Hospital.
