Forry Three-Peats as CC Softball Pitcher of the Year

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Gettysburg's Paige Forry three-peated as Pitcher of the Year to headline the 2025 All-Centennial Softball Team. Ursinus' Samantha Mallen, Swarthmore's Lilly Goldberg, Muhlenberg's Kaya Mahy and the Gettysburg coaching staff also garnered major awards.

Forry, a senior lefthander for the Bullets, earned Pitcher of the Year accolades for the third year in a row. Forry becomes just the fourth pitcher in Centennial history to have won top pitcher honors at least three times. Ursinus' Mallory Greene (2005-06-07) and Lauren Davis-Macedonia also collected the honor three times while McDaniel's Caroline Brehm (2012-13-14-15) remains the only four-time winner of the award. Forry ranks at or near the top of both the CC and the nation in a number of statistical categories. She leads both the CC and Division III in innings pitched (192.0) while also pacing the conference in wins (27), complete games (21), saves (4), strikeouts (202), strikeout-to-walk ratio (7.38) and ERA (0.98). Her opponents batting average (.193) ranks second in the CC. On a national scale, Forry ranks second in wins, fifth in strikeouts, tied for fifth in games started and complete games, tied for seventh in shutouts, tied for ninth in saves and 11th in ERA.

Mallen, a senior shortstop for the Bears, was named Player of the Year to become the sixth shortstop and third Ursinus player to claim conference MVP honors. Mallen ranks leads the CC in at-bats (145) and stolen bases (48), is tied for first in hits (67), ranks second in runs scored (49) and third in both batting average (.462) and on-base percentage (.497). With 48 of 50 successful stolen base attempts this year, Mallen is third nationally in that statistic. This marks back-to-back major awards for the Ursinus senior, who claimed Gold Glove of the Year accolades last spring.

Goldberg, a freshman righthanded pitcher for the Garnet, was selected as Rookie of the Year and also a first-team pitcher alongside Forry. Goldberg ranks second among CC pitchers with a 1.07 ERA through 137.1 innings pitched this spring, boasting a 17-4 record with 149 strikeouts vs. just 21 walks while limiting opponents to a .195 batting average. Goldberg is the fourth Swarthmore player and the fourth pitcher to win Rookie of the Year honors in the 12-year history of the award.

Mahy, a senior second baseman for the Mules, was named Gold Glove of the Year as the conference's top defensive player. Also a second-team All-CC pick, Mahy owns a .966 field percentage with 75 putouts, 68 assists and just five errors on the year. Mahy is the second Muhlenberg player to win top defensive honors in the CC.

The Gettysburg coaching staff collected Coaching Staff of the Year honors. Head coach Brooke Kalman and assistants Tim Kelly and Madelyn Yannetti have led the Bullets to a program-record 38-6 overall record and a 15-1 mark in Centennial play.

Swarthmore's Olivia McClammy received All-Centennial honors for the fourth time of her career while Forry, Ursinus' Christa Andrusiewicz and Swarthmore's Iris Barone earned all-stars spots for the third time in their careers.

McDaniel leads all teams with 66 All-Centennial first-team selections, followed by Gettysburg (64), Ursinus (62), Muhlenberg (44), Washington College (41), Dickinson (29), Haverford (28),  Franklin & Marshall (24) and Swarthmore (17).
