Offensive Player of the Week
Joey McGinnis IV, Sr., QB, Carnegie Mellon 
High Point, N.C. | Stem Early College at N.C. A&T
McGinnis IV led the Tartans to a 20-0 win at Chicago to open the season on Saturday. In his first collegiate start, the senior signal caller completed 28-of-36 passes for a career-high 243 yards and two touchdowns. He also added 38 yards on the ground.
 
Defensive Player of the Week
Jack Smith, Sr., LB, Johns Hopkins 
Duxbury, Mass. | Milton Academy 
Smith led a Johns Hopkins defense that held Ithaca to just 14 points and 282 yards of total offense in a 42-14 Blue Jay victory on the road.  He posted a career-high 14 tackles, including half a sack, and added one pass breakup in the first start of his career.
 
Special Teams Player of the Week
Kyle Evancho, Sr., DB, Franklin & Marshall 
Easton, Pa. | Easton Area 
Evancho came up with a crucial blocked punt that jump-started the Diplomats' offense in a 31-21 win at Lebanon Valley. Evancho's blocked punt led to F&M's first touchdown of the game which tied the score at seven before the team ran off 17 unanswered points. In addition to his highlight play on special teams, Evancho made three tackles in the secondary to aid the team's season-opening victory.
