Blue Jays Win 15th Straight

Results 

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Johns Hopkins extended its winning streak by claiming its 15th straight Centennial Conference women's indoor track & field championship on Sunday at Franklin & Marshall. The Blue Jays totaled 277 points behind 11 golds in the 19 contested events. 

Ursinus finished in second place with 108.5 points, followed by Franklin & Marshall (66), Dickinson (56), Haverford (54) and Muhlenberg (50) in the top five. Gettysburg took sixth with 44 points, with Swarthmore (43.5), McDaniel (23.5) and Bryn Mawr (17.5) rounding out the team scoring. 

Ursinus' Kaelin Ryan and JHU's Erika Ezumba were named the Track Most Outstanding Performer and Field Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet, respectively, as the only two individuals with multiple individual golds. Ryan won the 60 hurdles in a meet record 8.80, crossed first in the 200 at 25.71 and anchored the conference and championship record 4x200 relay for the Bears that finished in 1:42.31. 

Ezumba was dominant in the throws, resetting the conference and meet records in the weight throw (19.59m) and also winning the shot put (13.96m).

Two other championship meet records were set over the weekend. Ursinus' Sophia Pascale set a new meet standard in the 400 at 57.97 while the JHU distance medley relay quartet of Emma Kothari, Ani Wedemeyer, Mackenzie Setton and Adriana Catalano raced to a time of 11:46.73. 

JHU's 11 golds paced the medal count, while Ursinus (4) also earned mutliple golds and Bryn Mawr, F&M, Haverford and Muhlenberg each took home one gold apiece.
