Two Centennial Conference softball teams are headed to the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season as CC-champion Swarthmore earned the conference's automatic bid and Muhlenberg received an at-large spot into the field of 64.

For the first time in program history, Swarthmore was selected to host an NCAA Regional Tournament. The first stage of the NCAA Tournament takes place May 14-16 in Swarthmore with the Garnet battling Messiah in the first matchup. Case Western Reserve takes on Muskingum in the other opening game on Thursday. The double-elimination tournament continues on Friday and Saturday with the victor advancing to the NCAA Super Regionals on May 21-22.

Swarthmore (33-8) captured its second straight Centennial Conference title and its third in four seasons. It is also the third NCAA Tournament appearance for the Garnet. They finished 16th in the NCAA Power Index (NPI) to earn hosting duties. Swarthmore is currently ranked 15th in the nation by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).

For the 11th time in its history, Muhlenberg is headed to the NCAA Tournament. The Mules (32-11) earned an at-large bid and will travel to Medford, Mass. for a four-team, double-elimination tournament beginning on Thursday, May 14. Muhlenberg will face Middlebury (33-8) in its first game, with the other first-round matchup pitting host Tufts (30-10) against Alfred (29-13).

Muhlenberg is in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2022, when it went 1-2 in a regional also held at Tufts. The Mules have won at least one game in six of their previous 10 NCAA appearances. The team has enjoyed a historic season, setting a school record for most wins by any team in any sport and finishing second in the Centennial Conference regular season. In addition to wins, the Mules have set school records for hits, stolen bases, shutouts, and strikeouts in a season.
