TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Johns Hopkins' Emmanuel Leblond finished in sixth place and Haverford's Peter LaRochelle nabbed 40th place to earn All-America placings at the 2024 NCAA Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday at LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Ind.

In the team standings, Hopkins finished in 14th place for the second year in a row among the 32 competing squads. The Blue Jays totaled 382 points. Wisconsin-La Crosse ran away with the team crown with 77 points.

Leblond, the two-time defending Centennial individual champion and Runner of the Year and the Mid-Atlantic Regional champion, led all CC runners with a sixth-place finish in 24:13.2. It is the third straight All-America honors for Leblond, whose sixth-place finish is the sixth-best in CC history at the NCAA meet. Leblond is just the second runner in CC history to thrice earn All-America status, joining former Haverford standout Karl Paranya (1994-95-96) in that elite club.

LaRochelle earned the final All-American placing in the field, finishing in 40th at 24:46.4. LaRochelle secured the final All-America spot by an incredibly slim margin—just 0.2 seconds ahead of Eli Larson of Wartburg. In a tightly contested race, LaRochelle finished a mere 20 seconds shy of a top-10 placement, underscoring the depth of talent in the national field.

This year's Metro Region Runner of the Year, LaRochelle added another chapter to Haverford's storied cross country tradition, becoming the program's 41st All-American. His collegiate career includes three NCAA Championship appearances, beginning with his debut as a sophomore in 2022, and he capped off his senior season with a string of impressive performances, including last week's individual victory at the Metro Region Championships at Stockton.

JHU's Lucas Rackers (57th; 24:56.3) and Rowan Cassidy (94th; 25:09.8) also posted top-100 finishes in the field of 294.
