LANCASTER, Pa. -- Gettysburg's Jordan Basso three-peated as Attacker of the Year to headline the 2024 All-Centennial Women's Lacrosse Team. Gettysburg's Caroline Sullivan, the Gettysburg coaching staff, Franklin & Marshall's Lane Lambeth and Belle Dintino and Dickinson's Sage Whiteside also received major awards.
Basso has now collected three consecutive Attacker of the Year awards, becoming the first player in Centennial history to receive a player of the year award three times. Basso leads the CC in points (100), ranks second in goals (65) and third in assists (35) through the regular season and CC postseason.
Sullivan and Lambeth were named Co-Midfielders of the Year, marking the first time in the five-year history of the award that two players shared the honor. Sullivan ranks second in the conference in assists (44) and fifth in points (79), while Lambeth is ninth with 54 goals so far this year.
Dintino collected Defensive Player of the Year accolades, becoming the seventh Diplomat to claim the award in its 10-year history. Dintino is second in the conference with 32 caused turnovers and 12th in ground balls (36). The sophomore helped lead an F&M defense that has allowed just 9.89 goals per game.
Whiteside, a freshman midfielder for Dickinson, was tabbed Rookie of the Year and also named second team All-CC. Whiteside's superb rookie campaign concluded with 20 goals, three assists, 30 ground balls and 69 draw controls, which ranks ninth in the conference.
Twenty one players secured All-Centennial honors for at least the second time in their careers, including three who became four-time honorees - Sullivan, Basso and McDaniel's Emma Miller. Sullivan earned first team accolades for the fourth time, Basso received first team honors for the third time and was also a second-teamer as a freshman in 2021, while Miller becomes a four-time second team pick.
Historically, Gettysburg (88) and Franklin & Marshall (88) lead the Conference in first-team All-Centennial selections, followed by Ursinus (35), Washington College (32), Haverford (29), Dickinson (26), Swarthmore (25), McDaniel (20), Muhlenberg (14) and Bryn Mawr (2).
