LANCASTER, Pa. -- Centennial Conference teams continued on with non-conference competition last week during week three of the fall 2024 campaign. Conference play is set to open up this weekend in men's and women's soccer.

Overlander repeated as Athlete of the Week after winning his second-straight race on Friday night at the Shenandoah Twilight Open. The senior paced the 49-competitor field on the 6k course with a time of 18:44.5. He led a group of Red Devils in spots one through 10 in the individual standings to help the team post a perfect score of 15 en route to the team crown.

Athlete of the Week

Higgins-Haas won the Shenandoah Twilight Open on Friday, pacing the 45-competitor field with a time of 19:29.5 on the 5k course. The sophomore was joined in the top 10 by five other teammates as the Red Devils posted a team score of 23 to take home the team title.

Offensive Player of the Week

Yacura was crucial in Bryn Mawr's two wins against nationally-ranked teams last week. Against No. 14 TCNJ on Wednesday, Yacura notched the game-tying goal in the fourth quarter to force overtime for the Owls. She also recorded seven shots, four of those being on goal. In the Owls' second win of the week on Sunday against No. 10 Lynchburg, Yacura scored goal number three of the game to provide a two-goal cushion on the eventual 4-1 victory. Sunday's win marked the first-ever top-10 win in program history.

Basque was a major contributor between the pipes in Bryn Mawr's historic week with victories over two nationally-ranked opponents. Basque tallied 11 saves throughout the week with a 0.846% save percentage, surrendering one goal in each contest against both No. 14 TCNJ and No. 10 Lynchburg. TCNJ entered the contest vs. Bryn Mawr averaging 5.33 goals per game while Lynchburg was averaging 3.5 goals per game.

Spataro helped the 14th-ranked Red Devils improve to 6-0-0 on the season with wins over third-ranked Messiah and Rosemont last week. The freshman opened the week by assisting on Saul Iwowo's game-winning goal with just 21 seconds left at Messiah, giving Dickinson a 2-1 victory. The win was the first-ever for the Red Devils vs. the Falcons and handed them their first home loss since 2017. Later in the week against Rosemont, Spataro scored in the 82nd minute to lift the Red Devils to a 1-0 triumph.

George backstopped 14th-ranked Dickinson to a pair of wins over third-ranked Messiah and Rosemont last week, allowing just one goal in 180 minutes of work. He registered two saves in the upset 201 win over Messiah on Wednesday before securing one stop in Saturday's shutout 1-0 victory over Rosemont. The clean sheet was Georege's fourth of the season. For the week, he posted a 0.500 goals against average and 0.750% save percentage.

Dias contributed to all three Muhlenberg goals, scoring two and assisting on one, in a 1-1 week. After the Mules fell behind FDU-Florham, 1-0, she scored the tying goal in the first half and assisted on the winner in the second half as the team picked up its first win of the season. Dias also netted a goal in a 3-1 loss at DeSales.

Buyer proved to be a brick wall in between the posts for the Fords this past week, as Haverford went 2-0 with a pair of shutouts. In a 3-0 victory over Widener on Wednesday, the New York, N.Y. native turned away all three shots steered on frame. On Saturday, Buyer denied both shots headed towards the back of the net against Alvernia, to claim her third shutout of the season. The Clinton School product currently leads the Centennial Conference with a .400 goals against average and a .889 save percentage.

Adam was untouchable on the attacking side in another 3-0 week for the third-ranked Blue Jays, averaging 5.06 points and 4.88 kills per set while hitting .438%. The junior opened her week with a season-high 19 kills in just three sets in a win over 19th-ranked Ithaca, following that up with 12 kills in two sets against Susquehanna before wrapping things up with an eight-kill outing in a sweep over Marymount. Adam now leads the Centennial in kills per set (3.59) while also ranking third in both points per set (3.74) and hitting percentage (.400).

Perez recorded a team-high 33 digs during a perfect 3-0 weekend for the Diplomats at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. She finished with a week-best 17 digs during the win against Virginia Wesleyan as F&M handed the Marlins - who were receiving votes in the national poll - their first loss of the season. That effort was part of two double-doubles on the week as the junior setter also contributed a team-high 63 assists and seven service aces to her team's winning effort. The Diplomats are now 9-1 on the year and currently riding an eight-match winning streak.
