Seven Individuals, One Relay Set for Men's NCAA Championship

Dickinson's Richwine aims for repeat All-America award in 800

Seven individual and one relay are set to represent Centennial Conference men's indoor track & field this Friday and Saturday at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The championships will be held March 14-15 at the Golisano Training Center in Rochester, N.Y., with Nazareth University and Rochester NY Sports Commission serving as hosts. 

Dickinson's Trevor Richwine is the lone returning All-American among the qualifiers and will aim for a repeat national honor in the 800 meters after claiming fifth last winter. Richwine is seeded seventh in the event. 

Johns Hopkins' Emmanuel Leblond qualified for nationals for the third straight season. After competing in the 5000 meters in as both a freshman and sophomore, Leblond will vie for All-American honors in both the 3000 and 5000 meters this weekend. Leblond is seeded second in the 3000 and sixth in the 5000 and is the lone CC individual competing in multiple events. 

Haverford's Reza Eshghi is the other repeat competitor from the Centennial. Eshghi will compete in the 3000 after competing in the mile last season. He is the fifth seed in the 3000, giving the CC two of the top five seed times entering the race. 

First-time NCAA qualifiers include Dickinson's Franklyn Akabi-During in the 200 (seeded 17th), JHU's Brady Ott in the mile (seeded 20th), Ursinus' Mitchell Davis in the pole vault (seeded 12th) and JHU's Oluwademilade Adeniran in the triple jump (seeded 16th). The Hopkins distance medley relay team of Aiden Tomov, Alex Colletti, Fisayo Omonije and Lucas Rackers represent the lone conference relay competing this weekend and aree seeded fourth.
