All-CC Men's Indoor Track & Field Team: Leblond & Davis Secured Athlete of the Year Awards

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Johns Hopkins' Emmanuel Leblond, Ursinus' Mitchell Davis, Dickinson's Franklyn Akabi-During and the JHU coaching staff earned major wards to highlight the 2025 All-Centennial Men's Indoor Track & Field Team.

Leblond was named Track Athlete of the Year after becoming just the third runner in NCAA Division III history to break both the 14-minute mark in the 5,000 meters and the 8-minute mark in the 3,000 meters in the same season. The JHU junior owns the fastest time in the nation in the 5,000 meters this season (13:54.45) and the second-fastest time in the 3,000 (7:57.85), both of which set Centennial Conference records this winter. Leblond also boasts a season-best time of 4:10.06 in the mile, which ranks 41st in the nation.

Davis was selected as Field Athlete of the Year following a superb rookie campaign for the Bears. His top pole vault mark of 4.94 meters is ranked 12th nationally, set a new Ursinus program record and ranks second on the Centennial all-time list. Davis won the pole vault the CC championship and has won the event at four out of the six meets in which he's competed this season.

Akabi-During was honored as Rookie of the Year after bursting onto the scene for the Red Devils this winter. The freshman sprinter won both the 60-meter dash and 200 meters at the Centennial championship, setting new conference, championship meet and school records in the 60 and championship meet and school records in the 200. He also anchored the winning 4x200 relay and led off the winning 4x400 relay for the Red Devils at the conference meet, earning the Most Outstanding Track Performer of the Meet honors for his efforts. Akabi-During's top 60 time ranks 24th on the national list while his top 200 time is 33rd. He also broke the Dickinson school record in the 300 meters this season.
