Final Results
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - McDaniel's Thomas Monn and Merchant Marine's Tyler Withers placed fifth and sixth, respectively, in their weight class to secure All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA Division III wrestling championships on Friday and Saturday in Providence, R.I.
In the final team standings, Merchant Marine tied for 24th out of the 75 competing teams with 18 points while McDaniel placed in a tie for 26th with 17.5 points.
Monn and Withers led a group of six Centennial Conference wrestlers that competed at nationals. Monn, a junior 149-pounder for the Green Terro, placed fifth to earn the second All-America honor of his career. The fifth Green Terror to earn multiple All-America honors, Monn improved one spot over his 2023 finish at 149 pounds when he finished sixth as a freshman. Monnn went 5-2 at the championship, bouncing back from an opening-round loss with four-straight wins in the consolation bracket. He fell in the consolation semifinals but earned a fall in the fifth-place match. Monn will enter his final season with a career record of 102-11 as he looks to become the program's all-time leader in wins. Brock Glotfelty '11 currently holds the McDaniel program record with 126 wins.
Withers, a sophomore 184-pounder for the Mariners, placed sixth to earn his first All-America honor. Withers advanced to the semis with a trio of wins on Friday before falling by an 11-2 major decision to third-seeded Brandt Bombard of Augsburg. He then lost his consolation semifinal and fifth-place matches to place sixth and finish the championship with a 3-3 record.
Gettysburg's Gavin Pascoe (157) and Justin Richey (165), Merchant Marine's Reid Garrison (285) and Muhlenberg's Andrew Loniewski (141) also represented the CC at the national tournament.
