KINGS POINT, N.Y. - Ursinus claimed three golds and three silvers en route to its 14th Centennial Conference wrestling championship on Saturday at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The Bears totaled 93.5 points to hold off Gettysburg (87.5) for the title.

Ursinus' conference-leading 14 titles are nine more than Merchant Marine and former associate member Stevens, who both hold five titles in the 32-year history of the event.

Merchant Marine, which won the 2025 championship, finished in third place with 70 points. Muhlenberg took fourth with 48 points, followed by McDaniel (40.5) and Johns Hopkins (33.5).

McDaniel's Thomas Monn was honored as the Most Outstanding Performer of the championship after compiling 15.5 points for McDaniel as he claimed his fourth straight crown at 149 pounds. The Green Terror senior is the first wrestler in CC history to win MOP three times in a career. After receiving a first-round bye, Monn won by fall and technical fall to win the title. Now 35-0 on the year and ranked second in the nation, Monn became the ninth CC wrestler, and first since 2014, to win gold four times at the conference championship.

Monn was also awarded the Chris Clifford Award, given annually to the senior wrestler with the most career points at Centennial championships. With four titles to his name, Monn compiled an astounding 55.5 individual points at CC meets throughout his career.

Merchant Marine's Tyler Withers became a three-time champion, winning at 197 pounds in dominant fashion. The two-time defending champion at 184, Withers claimed a third staight gold while competing at a higher weight class this season. The junior received a first round bye and proceeded to record a fall and technical fall en route to the title.

Other repeat champions included Merchant Marine's Wesley Wydick at 133 and Ursinus' Anthony Cerulli at 174.

Ursinus and Merchant Marine led the way with three individual golds apiece, with Gettysburg taking home two golds and McDaniel and Muhlenberg claiming one apiece.

Ursinus still leads all Centennial schools with 66 champions since 1994. McDaniel (55) is just ahead of Muhlenberg (54) for second place, followed Merchant Marine (42), Stevens (35), Gettysburg (30), Johns Hopkins (28), Washington and Lee (7), Swarthmore (2) and NYU (1).
