LANCASTER, Pa. -- Gettysburg's Lucy Barton, Franklin & Marshall's Shuyi Sarah Wang and the Gettysburg coaching staff secured major awards to lead the 2025 All-Centennial Women's Golf Team. Barton was named Player of the Year, Wang took home Rookie of the Year and the Gettysburg coaches were selected as Coaching Staff of the Year.
Barton captured Player of the Year honors after winning the individual title at the Centennial Conference championship and recording one of the top scoring averages (82.1) in the conference throughout the year. Through 14 rounds this year, Barton has won two tournaments and finished in the top-three three times. Last year's Rookie of the Year, Barton becomes the fourth player in CC history to have been named both Rookie and Player of the Year.
Wang was chosen as Rookie of the Year after bursting onto the scene with a stellar first-year campaing for the Diplomats. The freshman boasts an 81.4 scoring average through 11 rounds with five individual victories and seven top-three placings. Wang is the first F&M player to earn to newcomer honors in the 12-year history of the award.
The Gettysburg coaching staff was honored by its peers as Coaching Staff of the Year. Head coach Brian Leib and assistant coach Kathy Murphy helped lead the Bullets to a 21-stroke victory at the CC championship. The Bullets will represent the conference at the NCAA championship later this month.
Gettysburg's Chloe Barton and Marymount's Kate Parsons earned back-to-back All-Centennial awards after placing among the top-five at the conference championship. Marymount's Eunice Chang and Gettysburg's Natalie Boyd also garnered all-conference honors.
