WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Marymount captured its fourth Centennial Conference women's golf championship on Sunday at Waynesboro Country Club. Trailing by four strokes after round one, the Saints fired a 314 in round two on Sunday for a 36-hole total of 644, the second-best team score in CC championship history.
The Saints were led by individual champion Tinleigh Rusher, who carded identical round of 76 for a score of 152 (+8), the second-lowest individual score in the 25-year history of the event. Sarah Hansen of Gettysburg still holds the record of 150 (75-75) from the 2017 championship. Punchy Mahathep (157) tied for third place for the Saints while Kate Parsons (168), Noelle Jensen (170) and Eunice Chang (171) finished sixth through eighth, respectively.
Lucy Barton, the 2025 champion, finished as the runner-up at 156. F&M's Sarah Wang tied Mahathep for third place while Chloe Barton took fifth at 162.
Gettysburg placed second in the team standings with a 36-hole score of 664. Franklin & Marshall followed in third at 714 while Dickinson (758), McDaniel (785) and Muhlenberg (943) rounded out the team scores.
The NCAA championships are slated for May 19-22 at Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, Calif.
