2024 United Soccer Coaches All-America Team
Johns Hopkins'
Katie Sullivan became the first player in conference and JHU history to be named to an All-America four times to lead three Centennial players on the 2024 United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-America Team. Sullivan was named to the first team, JHU's
Annie Isphording earned second team honors and McDaniel's
Lauren Hoolahan was a fourth team pick.
The selection for Sullivan is her fourth, making her the first four-time All-American in Centennial and JHU program history. This is also the third time she has earned first team honors (2021, 2023, 2024); she was a second team selection as a sophomore in 2022. Also a four-time USC All-Region selection and the 2024 Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Year, Sullivan led the Blue Jays in goals (19), assists (8) and points (46) this season. She concluded her career ranked second in school history in goals (60) and points (151) and tied for second in assists (31). The four-time First Team All-Centennial selection was the only player on this year's All-America team who has been named to the squad in each of the last four years.
For Isphording, the selection this year marks her third appearance on the All-America Team. She grabbed first team honors as a freshman in 2022 and second team honors in each of the last two years. Isphording is the fourth player in program history to earn All-America honors three times or more and the first defender to turn the trick.
Isphording adds her third All-America nod to a 2024 resume that also includes First Team USC All-Region and First Team All-Centennial Conference honors; she was also named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Year after anchoring a Blue Jay defense that allowed just 18 goals in 24 games and posted 14 shutouts on the year. In all, the Blue Jay defense held 19 of 23 opponents to one goal or less this season. Since she arrived and took over a starting spot on defense in 2022, Johns Hopkins has posted 42 shutouts in 70 games and allowed a total of just 42 goals.
Hoolahan is the sixth Green Terror in program history to earn United Soccer Coaches All-America honors and the fourth in the last four seasons. A United Soccer Coaches All-Region V and Centennial Conference First Team selection this season, Hoolahan led the conference with an .844 save percentage, ranked second with a 0.71 goals against average and third with eight shutouts. She also totaled a career-high 76 saves.
Hoolahan holds the program record for career goals-against average at 0.60 while ranking third in shutouts (21), fourth in save percentage (.860) and fourth in wins (24).
