Katie Sullivan continues to add to an already impressive resume as she was named the United Soccer Coaches Division III National Player of the Year on Tuesday. She is the first women's soccer player in Johns Hopkins and Centennial Conference history to earn the honor.
Sullivan is the eighth female athlete in Johns Hopkins history to earn national player or athlete of the year honors from their respective coaches' association.
Sullivan earned All-America honors four times, including three first team selections, in her career. The 2024 Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Year, she led Hopkins in goals (19), assists (8) and points (46). Her 19 goals this season are tied for sixth most in program history, while her 46 points rank eighth. Sullivan finished her career ranked second in program history in goals (60) and points (151) and tied for second in assists (31).
Sullivan led Hopkins to an 18-3-3 record and the program's 17
th Centennial Conference title. The Blue Jays then advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the ninth time in program history. She played in 88 games and started 86 in her career while leading Hopkins to a 73-8-9 (.861) overall record. JHU also won three conference titles, made four NCAA Tournament appearances and won the 2022 NCAA Championship.
