Athletes of the Week: Sept. 1-7

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Week two is now in the books for the the fall 2025 season with Centennial Conference honors distributed in cross country, field hockey, soccer and volleyball for the week of Sept. 1-7. 

See below for the full list of the first Centennial winners of the year. 
MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Athlete of the Week
Luke Knestout, So., Dickinson
Silver Spring, Md. | Georgetown Prep
Knestout won the Little Three Championship at Gettysburg, knocking off nearly 40 seconds from his 2024 time at 15:27.5 in the 5k race. The Red Devil sophomore bested a field of 46 runners and the Red Devils to a team score of 17 as they took home the team title for the 28th consecutive season.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

Athlete of the Week
Liza Barbash, So., Dickinson
Phoenixville, Pa. | Phoenixville 
Barbash won the individual title at the annual Little Three Championship, crossing the 5k course in 18:10.8. Barbash finished more than 30 seconds faster than the runner-up to take the top spot in a field of 35 competitors.

FIELD HOCKEY

Offensive Player of the Week
Holly Vincent, Sr., M, Haverford 

Glen Ridge, N.J. | Glen Ridge 
Vincent played a pivotal role in a 2-0 week for Haverford, tallying six points on two goals and two assists, highlighted by an upset victory over No. 12 SUNY Cortland. In Wednesday’s 4-1 road win at Stockton, the senior captain opened the scoring before assisting on the Scarlet and Black’s third goal of the contest to help seal the victory. Vincent continued her strong play on Saturday, scoring the tying goal and assisting on the go-ahead tally in Haverford’s 3-1 win over nationally-ranked Cortland. The Glen Ridge, N.J. native was a constant offensive presence, leading all players with six shots and four on target.

Defensive Player of the Week
Meghan Dole, Jr., GK, Franklin & Marshall 
Wayne, Pa. | Radnor 
Dole produced six saves in a 2-0 week for the Diplomats that included wins over ninth-ranked Messiah and Montclair State. Against the ninth-ranked Falcons, she posted three saves with a .600 save percentage. Dole then made three saves against Montclair State with a .750 save percentage, with her only conceded goal coming on a penalty stroke.

MEN'S SOCCER

Offensive Player of the Week
Daniel Ariza, Fr., F, Muhlenberg
Belleville, N.J. | Seton Hall Prep
Ariza contributed to three of four goals in a pair of 2-1 wins for the Mules. With the game at Lebanon Valley tied 1-1 and less than seven minutes remaining, Ariza assisted on the game-winning goal. Against Moravian, Ariza scored both goals - the first two of his career. He tied the game with 16:40 left in the first half and netted the winner with 28:47 remaining in the second half. Ariza is the first Muhlenberg freshman to record a multiple-goal game since 2019.

Defensive Player of the Week
Hannes Budde, So., GK, Washington College
Hummelstown, Pa. | Hershey 
Budde went 2-0-0 with seven saves in goal at the Seahawk Classic, conceding just one goal on a penalty kick in 180 minutes between the pipes. On Sunday in a 1-0 win over Salisbury, he made five saves, including one off of a header in the 82nd minute to preserve the 1-0 shutout win, his first career clean sheet. On Saturday in a 5-1 victory at St. Mary's (Md.), he turned away two shots with the only goal given up being on a penalty kick.

Offensive Player of the Week

Ava Prisco, Jr., F, Dickinson
Warren, N.J. | Watchung Hills 
Prisco led the Red Devils to a pair of wins last week as they improved to 2-0-1 on the season. She opened the week with a hat trick on just four shots as Dickinson picked up a 4-0 win at Juniata. In Saturday's home opener against previously-unbeaten Bridgewater (Va.), Prisco scored what would prove to be the game-winner in the sixth minute of play in a 2-0 shutout victory. 

Defensive Player of the Week
Lily Blackman, Fr., GK, Bryn Mawr 
Zionsville, Ind. | Brebeuf 
Blackman recorded a pair of shutout victories last week as Bryn Mawr improved to a 4-0 record in the early season. The freshman netminder tallied eight saves in 180 minutes of action and tops the CC in goals against average, saves, and shutouts per game so far this season.

Offensive Player of the Week

Carly Campbell, So., S, Franklin & Marshall 
Easton, Pa. | Notre Dame 
Campbell played a key role in setting, serving, and passing across F&M's sweeps over Albright, Penn State Harrisburg, and Drew last week. She assisted 50 kills, averaging 5.56 assists per set, while recording five service aces, averaging 0.56 aces per set. She also contributed 16 digs, averaging 1.78 digs per set. In victory over Albright, she posted 15 assists, eight digs and one ace. Against Penn State Harrisburg, she posted 22 assists, three aces and six digs (2.00 digs per set). In the win over Drew, she recorded 13 assists and two aces. 

Defensive Player of the Week
Anna Titter, Jr., DS/L, Washington College
York, Pa. | York Suburban 
Titter averaged 4.11 digs per set in a 3-0 week for the Shorewomen. On Saturday in the opening match at Goucher, she tallied a career-best 20 digs to lead all participants as the Shorewomen swept the host Gophers. Later in the day against Saint Elizabeth, the junior added 10 digs in a three-set win. In the home opener on Wednesday versus Penn State York, she chipped in with seven digs as WC won 3-0.
