LANCASTER, Pa.— Johns Hopkins wasted no time making its mark on Centennial Conference men's swimming, totaling 940.5 points to capture the conference title in convincing fashion in the program's first appearance at the CC championship meet. 

Gettysburg finished in second place for the fourth straight season with 726 points. Swarthmore took third with 675 points, followed by Dickinson (311), Franklin & Marshall (277), Ursinus (229), Washington College (219.5) and McDaniel (135). 

Hopkins took gold in 11 of 18 events to claim the title by more than 200 points. Freshman Kai Henrikson-Brandt was named Most Outstanding Performer of the meet after contributing 57 points to the Blue Jays total, with two gold and a silver. Henrikson-Brandt captured gold in the 100 and 200 backstrokes and placed second in the 100 butterfly. His 100 backstroke time set new conference and championship records, while his 200 backstroke time broke the championship record. 

Henrikson-Brandt was one of three swimmers to win multiple events throughout the weekend. JHU teammate Larry Yu took home gold in the 200 IM and 200 breastroke, while Swarthmore's Cami Wilson won thhe 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly. 

Three records were broken during Sunday's timed finals session by Blue Jay swimmers. Henrikson-Brandt set a new championship record in the 200 backstroke, Alessandro Pereira broke the 1650 freestyle championship record at 15:40.65, and Avery Clapp broke both the conference and meet records in the 200 butterfly at 1:46.43. 

Throughout the championship, a total of nine conference records and 13 championship records were established.
