Collins Records Second Runner-Up Finish; Hopkins Men Finish Ninth

Nine All-America finishes tallied on final day of championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Swarthmore's Genine Collins recorded her second runner-up finish of the meet to headline Centennial Conference performances on the final day of the 2026 NCAA Swimming Championships on Saturday night. Nine All-America placings were secured by the CC on the fourth and final day of the event. 

In the final team standings, the Johns Hopkins men led the way in ninth place with 123 points, the highest-ever finish for a CC men's squad at nationals. The previous top finish occurred in 2025 when Gettysburg finished in 12th place. The Swarthmore men took 20th with 46 points while Gettysburg placed 26th withh 32 points. 

On the women's side, Swarthmore finished 11th with 129 points, Hopkins took 16th with 64.5 points, Gettysburg placed 29th with 17 points and Ursinus took 35th with 12 points. 

Collins' runner-up showing was one of three top-three placings on the day for the Centennial, as Johns Hopkins' Avery Clapp and Ken Lee each secured third place finish with all three breaking conference records. Collins once again reset her own conference record in the 100 freestyle, touching in 49.76 for the first sub-50 second 100 free in conference history. Clapp captured bronze in the men's 200 backstroke in a CC-record 1:44.53, while Lee took home bronze in the women's 200 backstroke in a CC-record 1:59.40. 


Gettysburg's Evan Graham recorded the next-best finish of the night in sixth place in the 200 backstroke at 1:45.48. JHU's Bryce Lloyd was the third CC men's swimmer to earn first team All-America, touching in seventh place at 1:46.46. 

Gettysburg's Mia Morreale placed sixth in the 200 backstroke to earn her first All-America award of the meet. Morreale finished in 2:00.86 in the finals. 

A trio of 400 freestyle relays earned All-America status to close out the meet. The Swarthmore women's team of Elle Anthony, Collins, Riley Bacinski and Quinn Weygandt finished eighth in 3:23.99, the Swarthmore men's team of Cami Wilson, Danny Castle, Levi Tipton and Luke Magnuson took 14th at 2:59.64 and the Gettysburg women's team of Mia Morreale, Delaney Reck, Valerie Lawton and Lanie McKenzie finished in 15th place at 3:27.57.
