Scotty Coleman have been selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Men's Soccer Academic All-America Team, announced Tuesday. Roberts was a second team pick while Coleman earned a spot on the third team.
Roberts is the sixth Academic All-American for the Mule men's soccer program, and the first since 2014. A double major in finance and accounting, Roberts was previously named Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year in men's soccer, CC defensive player of the year, first-team All-CC, and first-team All-Region V. He is the first Muhlenberg athlete in any sport to be named CC rookie of the year (which he won in 2023), player of the year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Roberts, a three-time first-team All-CC selection, anchored a defense that allowed only five goals in nine CC games in 2025, recording shutouts in five of them. The Mules notched eight total shutouts and ranked 36th out of more than 400 Division III teams with their goals-against average of 0.79. Roberts served as a team captain and also was an offensive threat with his long throws, leading the team with four assists in addition to scoring a pair of goals. He will enter his senior season with a career total of 21 points on 5 goals and 11 assists.
Muhlenberg finished the 2025 season with an 8-3-9 mark, setting a school record with a 16-game unbeaten streak. The Mules were ranked in the national top 25 during the season and advanced to the CC semifinals for the fourth year in a row.
Coleman's third team honor marks the sixth consecutive season that at least one Blue Jay has earned the honor, bringing the program's total to 23 honorees, with 21 of those selections coming under head coach Craig Appleby. Coleman is a two-time CSC Academic All-District selection and was a second team All-Centennial pick in 2025. He played in and started 17 games in 2025 and totaled five goals from his defensive poositions. Throughout his career, Coleman played in 80 games with 39 starts and had 15 goals and four assists for 34 points.
A neuroscience major with a 3.95 GPA, Coleman was named to the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team for fall sports for his work as the President and Fundraising Chairman of Baltimore Scores in STEM, a mentorship program that supports Baltimore youth who are pursuing STEM education
