Centennial Conference Announces Fall Academic Honors

923 student-athletes honored

LANCASTER, Pa. -- The Centennial Conference has released its Fall 2025 Academic Honorees including Scholar-Athletes of the Year, the Academic All-Centennial Team, and the Academic Honor Roll. A total of 923 student-athletes were honored in the sports of men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball. 

Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors were awarded in each sport to a member of the junior or senior class with the highest cumulative GPA on the All-Centennial Team. Sam Roberts of Muhlenberg men's soccer and Lila Brown of Dickinson women's soccer and became the 21st and 22nd student-athletes in Centennial history to receive both Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year recognition in the same season after both also being named Defensive Player of the Year in Centennial men's and women's soccer a few weeks ago. 

Brown earned back-to-back Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors, as did Mary Huegel of Gettysburg volleyball and Rowan Cassidy of Johns Hopkins men's cross country. MaryCate Anson of Washington College field hockey captured her second Scholar-Athlete of the Year honor, having also won the award last spring in CC women's lacrosse. Cassidy nabbed the accolade for the third time in his career, also having earned it following the 2025 outdoor track & field campaign. Cassidy is one of six cross country / track & field student-athletes in CC history to receive Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors at least three times. 

The Spring Academic All-Centennial Team consisted of 148 student-athletes. To be nominated for the Academic All-Centennial Team a student-athlete must receive both All-Conference and Academic Honor Roll honors.

A total of 923 student-athletes were honored on the Winter Academic Honor Roll. To be nominated for the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing and attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.40 or higher.
