LANCASTER, Pa. -- McDaniel junior Thomas Monn and Merchant Marine senior Reid Garrison were named Co-Wrestlers of the Year to lead the 2025 All-Centennial Wrestling Team. Merchant Marine also picked up the other two major awards, with freshman Max Corral earning Rookie of the Year and the Mariner coaching staff securing Coaching Staff of the Year honors.
Monn secured Wrestler of the Year accolades for the third straight season to become the first wrestler in CC history to win the award three times. The 149-pounder is 26-2 on the year with 24 bonus-point victories. Monn went 7-0 against conference competition at CC duals and the conference championship, with all seven wins coming with bonus points. This marks the fifth time a McDaniel wrestler has secured the conference's top honor in the 13-year history of the award.
Garrison was named Wrestler of the Year following a superb regular season and Centennial championship that concluded with his third consecutive CC title at 285 pounds. Garrison boasts a 22-1 record on the year that includes 16 bonus point wins and four wins over nationally-ranked foes. The senior recorded his wins against CC opponents in the most impressive fashion possible, collecting two pins in regular season duals and pinning both of his opponents at the CC championship. He is the first Mariner to be named Wrestler of the Year in the Centennial. Garrison also took home the prestigious Chris Clifford Award, which is given to the senior wrestler with the most career points at the CC meet.
Corral collected Rookie of the Year honors to become the second Mariner to win the conference's top newcomer honor. Competing at both 165 and 174 pounds this season, Corral has compiled a 17-7 overall record and finished third at 174 pounds at last weekend's CC championship. Corral joins Caleb Kreitter (2020) as Mariners who have earned Rookie of the Year laurels in award's 12-year history.
The Merchant Marine coaching staff was tabbed by its peers as Coaching Staff of the Year. Head coach Beau Bruno and assistant Gene Kobilansky helped guide the Mariners to their fifth overall CC title and first since 2011.
Nine wrestlers grabbed All-Centennial awards for at least the second time in their careers based on their performances at the CC championship. Muhlenberg's Joey Lamparelli (125) joined Monn and Garrison as three-time first-teamers with another win at 125, while McDaniel's Xavier Howard (157) and Merchant Marine's Tyler Withers (184) earned repeat first-team honors with back-to-back golds.
Muhlenberg's Andrew Loniewski (141) captured first team honors for the first time after claiming second team laurels last winter. Ursinus' Franco Mazza (125) and Nils Updale (184) and Gettysburg's Gavin Pascoe (157) secured second team awards for the second year in a row.
Champions at the Centennial meet are named first-team All-Centennial, while runners-up receive second team honors. Ursinus leads all Centennial schools with 63 champions since 1994. McDaniel is second with 54, followed closely by Muhlenberg with 53. Merchant Marine is fourth with 39 followed by Stevens (35), Johns Hopkins (28), Gettysburg (28), Washington and Lee (7), Swarthmore (2) and NYU (1).
