The 30th annual Centennial Conference men's swimming championship begins Thursday night at Franklin & Marshall's McGinness Pool inside the Kunkel Aquatic Center. The four-day meet begins with a pair of relays - the 200 medley and 800 freestyle - on Thursday night at 7 p.m. and continues through Sunday. The Friday through Sunday schedule will feature prelims at 10 a.m. each morning followed by finals at 6 p.m.

Three-time defending champion Swarthmore and two-time defending runner-up Gettysburg enter the meet as the two favorites to take home the Centennial trophy. The Bullets snapped a two-year run of unbeaten CC dual meets for the Garnet earlier this season, claiming a 131-130 victory in the opening meet of the year on October 19. Swarthmore is just outside the top-25 in the most recent College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) national rankings  as one of three teams receiving votes. Gettysburg went 6-0 in CC duals, Swarthmore went 5-1 and Dickinson also posted a winning dual record at 4-2.

Gettysburg owns the most conference titles (15) in CC history, followed by F&M (9) and Swarthmore (5). Those three squads have combined for each Centennial title since the championship began in 1994.

Eight individual champions are back at the championship this weekend looking for repeat golds. Swarthmore's Cami Wilson headlines the list of returning gold medalists after setting a pair of conference records so far this winter. Wilson set new CC standards in both the 100 butterfly (47.98) and 100 IM (50.75) earlier this season. The Garnet junior is also the CC championship record holder in the 100 butterfly (48.40), a time he set as a freshman in 2023. Gettysburg's Connor Mangan was the other CC swimmer to break a conference record this season, setting a new standard in the 200 backstroke (1:47.16).

Dylan Herink and Sam Peterson join Wilson as Swarthmore swimmers aiming for more gold medals this weekend. Herink won both the 400 IM and 200 backstroke last season while Peterson nabbed gold in the 200 butterfly. F&M's Sam Kamdin will aim to defend his title in the 100 backstroke, while Gettysburg's Sam Nelson is the defending champion in the 1650 free.

The 200 butterfly and 1650 freestyle events will feature multiple previous gold-medalists, as 2023 champions Max McAlister of Gettysburg (200 butterfly) and Jonah Kasznay of Ursinus (1650 freestyle) are also back in the pool for this year's championship. F&M's John Devaney is also a returning champion in the field, having won the 100 freestyle back in 2023.
