Perennial powers Franklin & Marshall and Gettysburg have won every Centennial women's lacrosse title since 2002. Can anyone knock the Diplomats or Bullets off their perch atop the conference this spring? Based on the results of the CC preseason poll, conference coaches once again expect the two rivals to challenge each other once again for the Centennial crown.
The 2024 season witnessed another Final Four run from a Centennial squad, with F&M making back-to-back semifinal appearances for the first time since 2015-16. The Diplomats fell to eventual national champion Middlebury 15-9 in the semifinal round. Gettysburg and Haverford also represented the CC in the NCAA Tournament, with Gettysburg advancing to the third round before being knocked off by William Smith. It marked the second time in the last three seasons (also in 2022) that the CC qualified a trio of teams for the national tournament.
Six All-Americans, 14 All-Region and 26 All-Centennial performers are back this spring, yet again showcasing the depth of talent in the conference on a year-to-year basis.
F&M leads the way with a conference-best four returning All-Americans. Belle Dintino and Lydia Cassilly are two-time All-America honorees for the Diplomats, as is Gettysburg's Lily Macatee. F&M's Lauren Pittman and Lane Lambeth and Haverford's Tiffany Mikulis have each earned one All-America nod in their careers entering the 2025 campaign.
Dintino, Macatee, Pittman, Cassilly and Lambeth were all named to the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason All-American Team along with Gettysburg's Julia Daly and Julie Breedveld and Haverford's Brooke Epstein.
F&M (4) and Gettysburg (9) are ranked among the top 10 in the IWLCA Preseason Poll.
