Bullets & Red Devils Win NCAA Openers

Gettysburg topped Stevens 15-9 while Dickinson outlasted Denison 8-7 in the second round of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday. With the victories, the Bullets and Red Devils will compete in Sunday's round of 16. 

In Lexington, Va., Gettysburg used a 6-0 run to close the third quarter to pull away from No. 14 Stevens and record a 15-9 victory in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Div. III men's lacrosse tournament at Washington and Lee. Jackson Alpaugh led the Bullets with his second straight four-goal game. He also had three ground balls. Will Hedley chipped in four ground balls and three caused turnovers.

Gettysburg returns to action against No. 7 Washington and Lee in the third round of the NCAA tournament on Sunday. Game time is 3 p.m.

In Salisbury, Md., Luke Whalen scored just 40 seconds into the overtime period to cap off his five-point game and lift the Dickinson men's lacrosse team past Denison by a score of 8-7 on Saturday night in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Sea Gull Stadium on the campus of Salisbury. 

Dickinson (14-5) now advances to Sunday's Third Round matchup against the host Salisbury University at 6:30pm back inside of Sea Gull Stadium. The Sea Gulls are coming off a 17-5 win on Saturday over St. Mary's (Md.). Sunday will mark the fourth matchup between Dickinson and Salisbury and the first since the 2018 season a 9-7 victory by SU.
