HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Dickinson senior golfer Collins McMahon-Shea entered Thursday's third round of the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Tournament at the Mission Resort and Club sitting just five shots off the pace. A rough front nine caused the Red Devil to slide down the leaderboard, posting a four-over 76 to hold a cumulative score of four over par 219 which leaves some work to do heading Friday's final round.

McMahon-Shea began the round on the 6678-yard, par 72, El Campeon course with a pair of pars, before an unfortunate seven on the 430-yard, par four third put him three-over for the day. He concluded the nine with two bogies and four pars to end with a 40. His back nine got off to a good start with four consecutive pars, which was then followed by two birdies to get him to within three-over par. However, his day ended on a sour note with a bogey on the 295-yard, par 4, 18th to leave him at 76 for the day.

The group of Alan Van Asch (Lynchburg), Tim Kaufman (Washington and Lee) and Adrian Jordan (Kenyon) sit in a three-way tie for the individual lead at seven-under (208).

The action concludes tomorrow back at Mission Resort and Club.
