Seven-Under 65 is best NCAA individual round score in CC history

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Dickinson senior Collin McMahon-Shea carded the lowest single round by a Centennial Conference golfer in NCAA Championship history on Friday to close out the national championship in a tie for 12th place at Mission Resort and Club.

Tied for 38th place through round three, McMahon-Shea shot a seven-under 30 on his opening nine and an even-par 35 on the back nine of the par 72, 6,740-yard El Campeon Course. McMahon-Shea's score of seven-under tied with Tim Kaufman (Washington and Lee) and Logan Mills (Claremont-Mudd-Scripps) for the lowest individual round of the tournament.

Through the 72-hole event, McMahon-Shea posted a score of 284 (-3) to tied for 12th. His 12th place finish is the fifth-best individual finish among CC golfers at nationals. The previous CC low single round score at NCAAs was a 68 (-4) from F&M's Dylan Gallagher in 2023.

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps swept both the team and individual titles ending with a 13-under 1135 led by Sebi Aliaga who finished at ten-under (277).
