The Garnet secured seven first-place nods and totaled 49 points in a vote among CC head coaches.
Gettysburg was picked second with 43 points and the other first-place vote. Franklin & Marshall was projected to finish third, followed by Ursinus (31), Dickinson (25), Washington College (17), Bryn Mawr (16) and McDaniel (7) in fourth through eighth, respectively.

Swarthmore captured its third consecutive Centennial Conference championship last winter in record-breaking fashion. The Garnet totaled 991 points throughout the four-day meet, besting the previous record of 984 that they had just set the previous year at the 2023 championship. With a wealth of accomplished returners back on the roster this winter, including seven All-Americans and 11 All-Centennial honorees, it should surpised no one that Swarthmore is once again the prohibitive favorite to hoist CC hardware this season.
The Garnet wrapped up last season in impressive fashion by taking ninth place in the team standings at the NCAA Championships, the best-ever finish for a Centennial team. All six swimmers who earned All-America honors last season are back for the Garnet - Sophie Rotival, Quinn Weygandt, Genine Collins, Erin Szuromi, Elle Anthony, and Ainsley Jane Tambling. Kate Hallmark is also back as an All-American for the Garnet, having earned the distinction in 2023.
Gettysburg had five swimmers earn All-America recognition last winter, with all five returning this season - Mia Yancey,
Delaney Reck, Mia Morreale, Valerie Lawton, and Maya Knoller.
Weygandt is the reigning Swimmer of the Year in the conference and also received Most Outstanding Performer accolades at the CC championship. At the CC meet, the junior broke her own conference and championship marks in both the 200 IM and 400 IM while also setting pool records in both events as well. Weygandt added a third individual victory in the 200 butterfly with another pool record time. She then went on to collect All-America honors in the 400 IM and 400 freestyle relay. Weygandt's fifth-place finish in the 400 IM was the top individual finish among CC competitors at nationals. She enters her junior season as the conference and CC championship record holder in both the 200 IM and 400 IM.
Weygandt is one of four Garnet swimmers that became two-time All-Americans last year, along with Rotival, Anthony and Szuromi. Rotival placed sixth in the 100 breaststroke while also taking home a pair of relay awards. Anthony collected a quartet of All-America awards, with three coming in relays and the other in the 50 freestyle. Szuromi earned All-America recognition in the 400 medley relay for the second year in a row. Collins, the 2024 CC Rookie of the Year, was the lone CC swimmer to earn multiple individual All-America honors last year (50 free & 100 free), and led all Centennial swimmers with five total All-America awards at the national meet.
Collins owns the conference record in the 50 freestyle, Rotival is the conference record holder in the 100 and 200 breaststroke, and Gettysburg's Yancey holds in the CC record in the 100 freestyle. Four of the five conference relay records were set last season. It's safe to say that the conference record book will likely be threatened once again this season with the depth of talent returning to the Centennial.
