LANCASTER, Pa. -- Swarthmore's Clay Almgren, Franklin & Marshall's Teddy Scarborough, Gettysburg's Jackson Barroll and the F&M coaching staff garnered major awards to highlight the 2025 All-Centennial Men's Lacrosse Team.
Almgren, a junior attacker, is the third consecutive Swarthmore player to win Offensive Player of the Year honors. He joins Von Mabbs (2023) and Carter Strauch (2024) to continue the top offensive award streak for the Garnet. Almgren paced the conference-leading Swarthmore attack with a CC-best 79 points, 41 assists (2nd in CC) and 38 goals (3rd in CC). The Garnet lead the Centennial with 262 goals scored this year. Almgren is now a two-time All-Centennial honoree after claiming second team accolades last spring.
Scarborough, a sophomore goalkeeper for the Diplomats, was tabbed Defensive Player of the Year. He is the first F&M player to win top defensive honors in the 11-year history of the award. Scarborough led the CC in goals against average (7.52) and ranked second in both save percentage (62.3%) and saves per game (12.19).
Barroll, a freshman attacker for the Bullets, was named Rookie of the Year. Barroll is the fourth Bullet to claim the top newcomer honor and first since Tim Brady in 2015. He ranks ninth in the conference in goals (34) and 15th in points (42) while also contributing eight assists and 18 ground balls on the year.
The F&M coaching staff was voted as Coaching Staff of the Year. Head coach Todd Cavallaro and assistants Nolan Sachs, Rich Lefever, Nick Kirk and Kyle McCormick helped guide a turnaround season that witnessed the Diplomats improve their record by four wins overall and in CC play from the 2024 campaign to this spring. F&M posted an 11-6 overall record, a 5-3 mark in conference play and earned a spot in the CC playoffs.
Sixteen players earned All-Centennial awards for at least the second time in their careers, including four who became at least three-time all-stars. Leading that group was Gettysburg's Andy Marquet, who collected first team defensive honors after being named to the second team each of the previous three years. Gettysburg's Frank Barbera and Jack Dunleavy nabbed all-conference laurels for the third time, as did Ursinus' Chris Pucciarelli.
Historically, Gettysburg leads the conference with 111 first-team selections, while Washington College is second with 61 selections. Franklin & Marshall (59) is third, while Dickinson (55), Ursinus (22), Haverford (21), McDaniel (21), Muhlenberg (18) and Swarthmore (13) follow.
