Red Devils & Bullets Fall in Round Two

Gettysburg and Dickinson both fell in the second round of the NCAA Division III men's lacrosse tournament on Saturday. 

In Newport News, Va., 13th-ranked Washington and Lee jumped out to a 5-1 lead and never trailed in a 19-10 win over seventh-ranked Gettysburg in the second round at Christopher Newport. Jackson Barroll led the Bullets with three goals and two assists for five points. He also had two ground balls.  Brian Delduchetto had three caused turnovers to lead the Gettysburg defense.

In Medford, Mass., 16th-ranked Dickinson saw its quest for a repeat trip to the NCAA championship game come to an end on Saturday night as 17th-ranked Middlebury jumped out to a 9-0 lead en route to a 13-8 victory in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Bello Field on the campus of top-ranked Tufts. The Red and White were led on the day by four goals from Ramsey Huggins.
