LANCASTER, Pa. -- Swarthmore's Clay Almgren repeated as Offensive Player of the Year to headline the major award winners on the 2026 All-Centennial Men's Lacrosse Team. Dickinson's Jack Deady and Drew Stark and the Washington College coaching staff also took home top awards.
Almgren, a senior attacker for the Garnet, becomes the fifth player in Centennial history to win multiple Player of the Year honors in a career, and just the second attacker. Almgren led the conference in points (85), ranked second in goals (48) and third in assists (37) for a high-powered Swarthmore offense that paced the CC with 257 goals scored this season. Almgren is now a three-time All-Centennial honoree after also claiming first team honors in 2025 and second team laurels as a sophomore in 2024.
Deady, a junior defender for the Red Devils, was named Defensive Player of the Year. He is the fourth Dickinson player to receive top defensive honors in the 12-year history of the award, which leads all CC teams. Deady helped spearhead a formidable Red Devil defense that has limited opponents to a conference-best 7.44 goals against per game. Deady has caused 13 turnovers and picked up 11 ground balls on the year.
Stark, a freshman midfielder for the Red Devils, was selected as Rookie of the Year. Stark is the second Dickinson player to collected honors as the conference's top newcomer, along with Matt Thurston in 2022. He has posted stat totals of 21 goals, 11 assists and 16 ground balls through the regular season and CC tournament.
The Washington College coaching staff was chosen by its peers as Coaching Staff of the Year after a major turnaround season. Head coach John Nostrant and assistants Bryce Gifford, Grant Matthews and Kolyn Kirby guided the Shoremen to a 12-6 overall record including a 6-2 mark in CC play and the third seed in the conference playoffs. It marked a five-win improvement overall and in conference play from the 2025 campaign.
Sixteen players earned All-Centennial awards for at least the second time in their careers, including five who became three-time all-stars. Almgren, Deady, Gettysburg's Will Hedley, Swarthmore's Drew Tyson and Ursinus' Harry Sweitzer each secured all-conference accolades for the third time in their careers.
Historically, Gettysburg leads the conference with 114 first-team selections, while Washington College is second with 61 selections. Franklin & Marshall (62) is third, while Dickinson (59), Ursinus (22), Haverford (22), McDaniel (21), Muhlenberg (19) and Swarthmore (15) follow.
